Our leadership team strives to make clinical trial participation more convenient, ultimately leading to the anticipated approval of new therapies for humankind.
Greg Austin
Greg Austin is President of PCM Trials and has led the company to become a global leader in decentralized clinical trials since its inception in 2008. He also serves as President of Professional Case Management (PCM), a national provider of specialty mobile nurse visits. Leveraging over 30 years of institutional knowledge from PCM, Mr. Austin introduced many best practices of mobile nurse visits to the clinical research industry, enabling the widespread adoption of decentralized clinical trials utilizing nurse visits to participants’ homes. He further evolved a robust shared services structure with PCM, deploying the infrastructure of a large mobile nurse visit company to support direct-to-patient clinical research needs. Mr. Austin’s visionary leadership enabled PCM Trials to scale up dramatically during the Covid pandemic to support sponsors and CROs worldwide, and many of PCM Trials’ innovations have been adopted as standard practices today for decentralized clinical trials.
Prior to joining PCM Trials, Mr. Austin served as a senior leader of strategy and corporate development at Dex Media where he was responsible for developing and driving digital growth strategies. He started his career with Computer Sciences Corp., where he led healthcare and life sciences engagements driving operational efficiencies, improving quality of care, and streamlining systems to maximize profitability.
Mr. Austin earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Metropolitan State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
Hollis Baugh
Hollis Baugh is the Vice President of Compliance and Compliance Officer. Mr. Baugh joined PCM in 2019 and leads the quality, compliance, and audit functions to adhere to the highest data quality standards for the clinical research industry.
Mr. Baugh augmented PCM Trials’ clinical research quality standards by increasing internal and customer facing governance structure, enhancing audit and escalation infrastructure, and strict adherence to clinical research industry standards. He spearheaded the buildout of a comprehensive GDPR program, and continues to fortify privacy-by-design throughout the PCM Trials. Governed by the Company’s security framework (CIS 20), he instituted an industry leading data privacy standard for protecting highly sensitive clinical trials data as well as those of trial participants.
Prior to joining PCM, Mr. Baugh oversaw the buildout of a comprehensive HIPAA program for OrthoFi, a Denver healthcare company as Compliance Officer. Previously, he held a variety of leadership roles in financial services companies including SquareTwo Financial and Western Union.
Mr. Baugh earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
Charlie Billings
Charlie Billings is the Chief Information Officer. He joined PCM Trials in 2019 with over 25 years of information technology management experience.
Under Mr. Billings leadership, PCM Trials enhanced compliance with the CIS Critical Security Controls, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, 21 CFR Part 11 and others. PCM Trials received the CIO Magazine’s CIO 100 Award and CSO Magazine’s CSO50 award, recognizing the company’s commitment to delivering value and enhancing security through its digital transformation initiative. Mr. Billings led enterprise-wide systems initiatives to further enhance PCM Trials’ GDPR, HIPAA, and CIS compliance and data security.
Prior to joining PCM, Mr. Billings was the Chief Technology Officer at LT Trust Company. He previously held IT leadership roles at Dex Media. Mr. Billings started his career as a consultant with Deloitte Consulting.
Mr. Billings earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston University and a Master of Science in Management and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University.
Christy Crase
Christy Crase is the Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Ms. Crase joined PCM in 2019 bringing more than 20 years of legal experience.
Prior to joining PCM, Ms. Crase was the Associate General Counsel of Payor and Commercial Contracting at DaVita. Previously, she held leadership positions with Baxter and Gambro. Ms. Crase started her legal career with Jones Day.
Ms. Crase earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and Spanish from Regis University, and a Juris Doctor Degree from Texas Tech School of Law.
Brad Drevno
Brad Drevno is the Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Drevno joined PCM in 2016 bringing over 30 years of executive leadership and operational experience.
Prior to joining PCM, Mr. Drevno held COO and leadership positions with Urban Villages, Accenture and General Electric where he was responsible for developing and leading global operating teams.
Mr. Drevno earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from California State University.
Curtis Fletcher
Curtis Fletcher is the Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Fletcher joined PCM in 2010 overseeing the finance, treasury, and accounting functions.
Prior to joining PCM, Mr. Fletcher served as the CFO for Local Matters. He started his career as a public accountant with Arthur Andersen.
Mr. Fletcher earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Wake Forest University and a Master of Business from the University of Alabama. Mr. Fletcher is also a licensed certified public accountant.
Jeff Huntsman
Jeff Huntsman is the Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for the overall commercial strategy and revenue generation for the research division which consists of PCM Trials and EmVenio Research. Mr. Huntsman joined PCM Trials in 2024 with more than 30 years of experience in the Life Sciences space, where he has led global commercial teams selling pharma services solutions across the clinical development and regulatory lifecycle.
Prior to joining PCM Trials, Mr. Huntsman ran a consulting firm providing strategic advice to private equity, venture capital and emerging growth companies. Earlier in his career, he was the Chief Commercial Officer at Sitero, Citeline, ConnectiveRx, and LIQUENT. He has held executive leadership roles at Clarivate, Parexel, Thomson Reuters, and Rogers Communications as well as having served as a Health Care Advisor at Warburg Pincus and Growth Capital Partners.
Mr. Huntsman earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Political Science from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
Mark McKenzie, M.D.
Mark McKenzie, M.D. is the Chief Medical Officer responsible for strategies and new initiatives in the clinical and therapeutic areas. He also provides medical and clinical oversight to EmVenio’s team of principal investigators involved in trials at community research sites globally. Dr. McKenzie joined EmVenio Research in 2023 with more than 20 years of experience facilitating clinical trials.
Prior to joining EmVenio Research, Dr. McKenzie served as Vice President of Clinical Affairs at M-3 Wake Research, where he was responsible for clinical operations, marketing, business development, and regulatory affairs. Previously, he was the regional medical director and principal investigator at ClinSearch.
Dr. McKenzie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Southern Adventist University and later returned to earn a Bachelor of Science in medical technology. He then received his doctorate from the Medical College of Ohio at the University of Toledo.
Tom O’Connor
Tom O’Connor is the Senior Vice President of Customer Engagement. Mr. O’Connor joined PCM Trials in 2013 with over 25 years of experience in healthcare and decentralized clinical trials delivery, sales, and clinical trial participant recruitment.
Prior to joining PCM Trials, Mr. O’Connor served as Chief Revenue Officer and co-founder at Simuwatt. He previously held leadership positions at Zayo and Level3.
Mr. O’Connor earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Sciences from the University of North Carolina.
Tajuana Barron
Tajuana Barron is the Vice President of Project Management responsible for project delivery. Ms. Barron joined PCM Trials in 2022 with over 30 years of clinical research experience working for Pharma companies and CROs.
Prior to joining PCM Trials, Ms. Barron served as a Senior Director of Project Management at PPD, where her responsibilities included oversight of a strategic partnership, DCT strategy and management of a team of project directors and managers. Previously, she held leadership roles at PRA and Schering Plough Research Institute. Ms. Barron earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Bennett College and studied at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey.
Meghann Howland
Meghann Howland is the Vice President of Clinical Operations-Global Clinical Trials and joined PCM Trials in January 2024. Ms. Howland joins PCM with over 30 years of experience in healthcare, global trial delivery, and strategy. Prior to joining PCM Trials, Ms. Howland was the Vice President and Head of Clinical Operations at the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan) and previously held positions of leadership at mid to large-size CROs, including global therapeutic area head positions in CNS/Psychiatry and Early Phase Oncology. Her foundation in research was established as a board-certified emergency nurse who practiced in a Level II trauma center and went on to lead a research department conducting critical care studies. As a Duke University scholarship recipient, Ms. Howland earned her nursing degree from Watts School of Nursing in 1994 and is currently pursuing her Master of Nursing Education at Purdue University.
Jonathan Ernst
Jonathan is Vice President of Business Development. Jonathan joined PCM Trials in 2023 to provide sales leadership. Prior to joining PCM Trials, Jonathan was Vice President of Life Sciences Account Management at Shearwater Health. Jonathan brings a unique blend of operations and strategy experience to this position after more than a decade of diverse roles with Syneos Health and IQVIA. Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kansas and is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Jennifer Hoffman
Jennifer Hoffman is the Vice President of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. She joined PCM Trials in 2019 overseeing recruiting, benefits, and human resources.
Prior to joining PCM Trials, Ms. Hoffman was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Spectrum Retirement Communities. Prior to that, she led a variety of human resource functions at MGM Resorts International and Caesars Entertainment.
Ms. Hoffman earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Utah and is certified in Myers-Briggs.
Robert Phinney
Robert Phinney is Vice President of Business Development Operations. Mr. Phinney joined PCM Trials in 2017 bringing over 30 years of sales leadership and sales operations experience in healthcare and telecommunications.
Prior to joining PCM Trials, Mr. Phinney served as Executive Director of Sales Operations at Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX). He previously held leadership positions at Level3 and T-Mobile.
Mr. Phinney earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado.
